Calendar Contest
What favorite activities and traditions help keep your family close? What do you do for fun? Share your families tips, traditions and favorite activities for children of all ages! Tell us and let us publish them on our AP Month daily calendar of activities! Our AP Month theme this year is “Attached at the Heart Through the Years” so we’d like to hear about your activities and traditions that grow with your family and make for rich traditions and loving memories.
E-mail your entries to Attachment Parenting International (API) at apmcalendar@attachmentparenting.org. Entries will be accepted for the Contest until 5 p.m. EST on October 5.
Guidelines: The theme is “Attached at the Heart Through the Years.” There is no fee to participate. Include your name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number at the top of the first page of the entry. Submit as many tips, activities and traditions as you wish, but please keep each to one short sentence each. Please indicate if you use and/or recommend any products or equipment for your actives.
Eligible Participants: Calendar activities may be entered by API members (including API Leaders and members of the API Professional Associates and API Professional Colleague programs), as well as non-members. Members of API’s Volunteer Staff cannot participate in this contest, although API Leaders who do not serve in another API staff position are welcome to participate.
Prizes: Our favorite activities, tips and traditions will be included in the AP Month daily calendar. A different activity will be featured each day and all will be visible throughout the month on AP Month Central. The top activities, tips and traditions (up to 10) will be selected by a committee, then presented for public voting on the AP Month Central website throughout the month of October. The favorite activities, tips and traditions, determined by a poll, will be eligible for prizes including a paid one-year individual membership to API and a book by an AP expert author.
The favorite activities, tips and traditions may be showcased on greeting cards and other products available for sale in API’s online store just in time for the holidays.
In addition, the tips, activities and traditions may be featured in an issue of Attached at the Heart, API’s quarterly print magazine and e-zine. Recognition will also be given via the API website and through other API publications.
