2010 Photo Event
How do you fill your child with love? Attachment Parenting International wants to know! Show how your family practices Attachment Parenting through sharing a photo. Submit a photo of your family cooking together, eating together, enjoying a family tradition regarding meals, food, or activities that shows how your family makes mealtimes and fitness fun.
Submission deadline extended! E-mail submissions to Attachment Parenting International (API) at photocontest@attachmentparenting.org. Submissions will be accepted until 5 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on October 24.
Guidelines: Only one submission per person. The theme is “Full of Love: Parenting to Meet Emotional and Physical Needs for Healthy Children.” Preference will be given to personal, candid photos of parents practicing AP in their families. There is no fee to participate. Include your name, mailing address, e-mail address, and phone number at the beginning of your message. Submissions can be any size, black-and-white or color, and should be attached to the e-mail message as a JPG or TIF.
Eligible participants: Photos may be submitted by API members (including API Leaders and members of the API Professional Associates and API Professional Colleague programs), as well as non-members. Members of API’s Volunteer Staff cannot participate in this event, although API Leaders who do not serve in another API staff position are welcome to participate.
Prizes: The top photos entered (up to 5) will be selected by a committee, then featured on the AP Month Central website. All entrants will have their name entered in a raffle for prizes to be determined. In addition, the favorite photos will be showcased in an upcoming 2011 issue of API Links (API’s monthly enewsletter), and will be printed as cover photos in upcoming 2011 issues of The Attached Family, API’s quarterly print magazine and e-zine. Recognition to the photographers of the favorite photos will also be given via the API website and through other API publications. Other photos may be featured on the API Speaks blog.
