Our hallway has a small corner at either end of it, so we take turns with our son ‘hiding’ around the corner, then we jump out and go ‘boo!’ and chase the other person down the hallway. I love pretending like I’m ‘running away’ from my son because he thinks it’s hilarious and it’s just such a silly and easy way to make him laugh.

For kids who are old enough, I love Apples to Apples. It can get pretty silly. I would like to try the Junior version and see if it’s still that much fun with younger kids.

So many but I think the simplest thing that gets the best laugh from my toddler is giving butterfly kisses (eyelash to eyelash)! Love that laughter!

We have staring contests all the time. Whomever smiles or laughs first gets tickled. By the end of the contest, we’re all bursting with laughter and it’s a great way to connect. 🙂

I read using silly voices. I also let them be the expert about various things and pretend I don’t have a clue and they have to tell me what to do.

Love all these ideas! My son loves the pop a pirate game (he’s 3) and we also make up all kinds of games “in the moment.” Tonight in the bathtub we had the rubber duckies diving with parachutes (face cloths) or rolled up as tootsie rolls. It’s amazing how much fun you can have with a little imagination!

My 16-month-old recently discovered an old domino set that I had forgotten was at the bottom of the toy box. Since then, we have pulled it out almost daily and she, Mommy, and Daddy all play some sort of silly domino game…usually resulting in towers of stacked dominoes getting knocked down and lots of giggles!
